Capitol Cycle was well represented at the 2006 AMA Amateur National Championship held the first week in August on Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch. Capitol Cycle Race Team had 47 entries at this prestigious race.
In addition Capitol Cycle Race Team had two National Champions. Coleman Martin, pictured below, won the 50cc 7-8 stock and...............................
Adam Cianciarulo, pictured below, won the 65cc 7-9 stock and placed second in the 65cc 7-11 modified.
Capitol Cycle Race Team had over 20 riders who finished in the top 15. Congratulations to all. We know you worked hard.
In July Capitol Cycle in conjunction with Cobra Motorcycles sponsored an American 50cc team that attended the MX Master Kids Race in France. This race was promoted to contain the top 100 riders from Europe. The American team consisted of Matt Burkeen, Ashton Hayes, Hunter Hilton and Coleman Martin. The American riders did great. Coleman, Hunter and Ashton finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 50cc class. Matt Burkeen finished 1st in the 65cc class.
